Yama here with an important safety message about our favourite birb (dog speak for bird) related holiday! š¦
Thanksgiving is fast approaching and a lot of delicious food will be āflyingā around the house this weekend (pun intendedš). We wanted to share examples of things that are safe for your mutt to eat and some that are not.
Not for Mutts: āCooked bones, especially from poultry. āOnions or garlic. āSugar, sweeteners, chocolate, marshmallows, or xylitol <āthis is deadly. āRefined carbs - buns, pie crusts, or buttery potatoes. āPickles or any salty/cured foods. āSpicy foods.
Go for Mutts:
ā
Turkey meat, cooked or raw (depending on their regular diet) āeven a bit of
tofurkey is okay!
ā
Non-seasoned broccoli, cauliflower, green beans, brussel sprouts, and sweet
potatoes.
ā
Cooked or raw (unseasoned) apples, carrots, blueberries, and pears.
I suggest only giving small amounts of delicious treats. If your dog eats raw, go ahead and give them raw food! If your pup eats kibble or canned, stick to cooked delicacies this Thanksgiving weekend!

š¦Wishing everyone a safe and happy Thanksgivingš¦
